A NOTE FROM OUR DIRECTOR:

My name is Ester Nersisyan, I am the COO of R.C. Hospice Care. I would like to share with all of you a legacy that I was left by my father who passed away a few years ago. When we lose the ones we love, a part of us goes with them, as the person who spoke life over you and blessed you has now left you. It takes time and perseverance to bring yourself through the process of grief. I am a woman of faith and believe that our time is limited in this world and know that one day us to will join our loved ones. When our father passed away unexpectedly it shook our world. I wish I had recorded him more and taken more pictures with him. I wish I hugged him more. Our family made thumbprint necklaces with engravings of how we called our father. Mine said “My Dad”, as that is how I would refer to him; even to my siblings :).

My dad had a special relationship with all of his children and the thumbprint has a sense of his identity as it is the only one in the world that belongs to him. I plan to pass it down to my daughter and tell his legacy of the righteous man he was who feared God and stood up for the weak. There is authority and power in the memories left behind as it helps shape the lives of us living. We learn from their choices whether mistakes or achievements but we know it is of people who meant a lot to us and would steer us in the right direction.

Your Legacy, Our Mission
